Anton Mikhailov
B.PT M.ClinPhys
Anton has 10+ years of experience as a Physiotherapist and he holds a Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy, with a Manipulative Therapy Major from Curtin University, WA. Anton is a former professional cyclist (Amore&Vita, 2013) and has been racing at an elite level for the past 20 years at both national and international level. As a former professional cyclist and a certified cycling coach he understands the importance of treating small problems as soon as possible to mitigate the risks of further, more damaging injury. Anton is an expert in biomechanical cycling and running assessments and uses these to develop individualised strength training plans to enhance the performance of both the recreational and professional athlete.
For the past 5 years prior to joining Parmelia Physiotherapy, he worked at Taranaki physiotherapy, New Zealand, where apart from being a senior physiotherapist he was also involved in supporting a premier Rugby club.
In the past, he has provided his expertise to the renowned Batsheva Dance Company, where he attended international tours as the Head Physiotherapist. More recently, Anton has found a new hobby in running after his young daughter and his energetic dog and he is reflecting on the idea of preparing for another marathon to push his limits in long distance runs.
