Meet our Physiotherapist Matthew Murphy
Matthew Murphy
Matthew completed his physiotherapy degree at Curtin university following a life changing decision to leave his career as an engineer and pursue his true passion – working with people to overcome injuries and helping them return to the things they love – whether it be elite sports or gardening.
Matthews experience has been gained working in hospitals with post-operative patients, as well as in private practice where he has worked with people of all ages with a range of injuries and conditions. Matthew has a particular interest in strength and conditioning and enjoys progressing patients from often crippling pain to being stronger and more functional than prior to injury.
Matthew is passionate about physiotherapy and strongly believes that you are only as old as you feel. Based on this premise, he loves working with people of all ages, helping them to return to the activities that make their lives fun and exciting. Matthew is committed to staying up-to-date with new research, to ensure he manages his patients with the most contemporary treatment techniques available.
When Matthew is not working he is living an active life style that is centred on the ocean and water sports. He loves surfing, windsurfing, diving and fishing. When nature gives him undesirable conditions, you’ll often find Matt keeping fit at his local gym.
